Our PhD student, AlexiosPittas, has received the Best Poster Award at the XL Panhellenic Conference on Solid State Physics and Materials Science, held in Patras, Greece, on 20–23 September 2026.
The award was presented for his work entitled:
“Defect Evolution in Fe⁺ Ion-Irradiated Single-Crystalline Fe–10 at.% Cr Alloys Studied by Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy”,
carried out within the framework of EUROfusion.
This work contributes to our understanding of radiation-induced defects in Fe–Cr model alloys relevant to the development of structural materials for future fusion power plants.
